Meet Meaux


A passionate actress hailing from the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana. Meaux retired in 2013 and has since been pursuing her lifelong dream in the world of film and theatre. She is a widow and proud mother of two accomplished daughters—one a lawyer, and the other a psychologist. Now at 59 years old, with her unique life experiences and unwavering determination, Meaux aims to inspire women of all ages to fearlessly pursue their goals.

Aside from her acting pursuits, Meaux finds joy in philanthropy, singing, and playing the flute, showcasing her diverse artistic talents. In 2018, she and her youngest daughter established the MARQ My Words Foundation in memory of her eldest daughter. The foundation has donated $10,000 in scholarships to Southern University Law Center to assist future black attorneys seeking to make an impact on their communities.

With a desire for roles that possess standout and inspiring backgrounds, she aims to use her own story as a catalyst to empower women, proving that age and life's journey should never hinder one's pursuit of dreams and goals. She’s obtained roles on hit television series such as Underground, Claws, and NCIS New Orleans, as well as the award-winning film Green Book.
